Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Catherine Brankin is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and has served patients across the globe. Prior to attending medical school at Midwestern University, she graduated from Augustana College where she also played on the women’s soccer team. During medical school she joined the United States Navy and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, California. After residency, she spent tours of duty at U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella in Sicily, Italy and Naval Hospital Pensacola, Florida where she was Department Head of OB/GYN and Medical Executive Chair of the hospital.
After finishing her commitment to the military in 2018, Dr. Brankin moved to Fairbanks, Alaska where she worked with Chena Obstetrics and Gynecology and the local Alaska Tribal Health Organization. Dr. Brankin returned to Pensacola, Florida in 2020 to work with patients at the Coyle Institute as a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon and earned her minimally invasive gynecologic surgery practice designation.Dr Brankin is a distinguished surgeon recognized as a leader in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) and robotics. With a passion for advancing surgical techniques and enhancing patient outcomes, Dr Brankin has earned the prestigious title of Surgeon of Excellence in MIGS and robotics, bestowed upon them by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).
Dr. Brankin is an active member of the community and volunteers with various local organizations. She will be seeing patients in the Wellington office and is dedicated to delivering exceptional and personalized care.
When Dr. Brankin isn’t providing excellent care to her patients, she spends her time competing in triathlons, traveling, skiing, and spending as much time outside as possible with her family, friends, and goldendoodle Kenai!.
